[edit]Key for every Door Movie
[edit]I saw a movie once in which a kid was given a key that could open any door. One door that he opens leads to an upside down room. He is told not to open a certain door, but he does open it, and "evil" smoke comes out of it. Does anybody know what movie this is? Elpenmaster 04:44, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Whilst not the focus of the entire movie one of the guys in The Matrix has a key to open pretty much every door - forget what he was called though. ny156uk 09:43, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- That's the Keymaker in Matrix Reloaded (the second movie), but definitely not the answer to this question. StuRat 16:17, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think we need more information. Was it an animation or live action? What genre? American or what? Other main characters? (An answer to a similar question elsewhere on the Web#1494 suggests it was actually an old computer game, but that led me nowhere.)--Shantavira|feed me 18:24, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- There's also the movie The Skeleton Key. But the boy is actually a woman played by Kate Hudson, so that's probably not it either. ---Sluzzelin talk 18:51, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
It does sound a lot like Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. Does anydody know if Little Nemo has a scene in which the kid opens a door to an upside down room? Elpenmaster 06:49, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well, thanks for your help. It might be Little Nemo. Someday I will watch the movie and see if it was that one. Elpenmaster 03:40, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Movie with old man telling a story about him fighting for a girl.
[edit]Hi, I'm trying to find the name to a movie I saw probably back in the early 90's. I remember it starts with 2 guys fighting over a parking space and then this older man comes up and probably asks why they are fighting about something so stupid and then he begins to tell them about him fighting for this girl. So then the movie goes back to probably like the 40's or so and the old man is now in his 20's. I only really remember this part where him and this other guy were visiting the girl they both wanted. This guy brought the girl a rose and they were standing the door way, she thanked him and then proceeded to put it with the dozen or so roses the other guy gave her. Any help would be great. Thank you!- JENH
Japanese Torrents
[edit]where would be a good place to find torrents for Japanese Music? (specifically rock and metal) --12.155.80.115 17:32, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- We can't give you advice that would direct you towards doing things that are illegal. However, there are sites where english-speaking otaku often hang out, like 4chan. You might have more luck there. --Mdwyer 18:42, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Name of Series/Episode
[edit]Odd question, but I am recently investigating quantum multiverses, and a comic or cartoon I have seen long ago keeps hovering in my mind. Unfortunately, I do not recall distinctly if it was a television cartoon or printed comic, but I tend to lean towards TV. The cartoon was either in black and white or mainly black and white with sparse color use, and was obviously drawn by hand, in a style similar to Far Side. From the time frame I recall, I suppose it was aired in the mid to late 1990s.
- The episode revolved around a scientist who had created a set of (alleged) teleportation devices, both of which resemble refrigerators in appearance. He demonstrates the devices to a female character, while not revealing that the teleporter works in an unusual way. I don't remember all the details, but the machine must kill him and assemble his body in the other machine, having lost his soul. Despite his urging and woe, the other character also uses the machine and loses her soul.
I am sorry if I have not provided distinct information, but lacking the creator and name, I am unable to return any Google searches with applicable content (Many concern violent videogames). I would appreciate the name of the series, the creator, and possibly an episode name so that I may find the cartoon again and watch it in it's entirety. Thanks, Freedomlinux 20:22, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- It really sounds like you're describing a Twilight Zone episode. You might try looking there. In them meantime, you might watch The Prestige and Primer (movie) when you get a chance. --Mdwyer 05:09, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
"hey how are you" movie
[edit]What movie has a dad who takes his kid to a boy scouts type camp? When he gets there there around the camp fire and he imitates an Indian chant by going "hey how are you" "hey how are you" "hey how are you" "hey how are you" Also whats the movie about a little boy who goes into a dream and then is given a key by and old king with a white beard who says he can open all the doors except one. When he opens the evil door the black darkness takes over the kingdom and takes away the king and the princess and everyone blames the little boy. --Gosplan 23:53, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- The "hey how are you" sounds like The Simpsons, to me, or possibly Married with Children. StuRat 05:00, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
