What is the origin of "Indian warpath" music in films?

Where does the music that is often heard when the "Indians" are about to go on the warpath come from? Is it from an early Movie? a TV show? A Quote from an Orchestral work? See Pow Wow the Indian Boy. The tune was as you described. On a keyboard, it would be: (- indicates quarter note, -- indicated half note, otherwise eighth note) D-D--C-DCAA--G-GGGAGF-D-D--. The drumbeat is probably intended to sound like traditional Native American drumming, a beat with every 4th beat emphasized. This is one of the many media portrayals that drives the Natives, at least the ones in my area, crazy. They don't understand where that beat came from because their drumming mostly resembles the sound of a heartbeat. -LambaJan 14:50, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Is that 57 in 2002 which seems to mean born in 1946 see 1946#births giving Dave Hill (slade), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Dave Mason (traffic) and a few others - couldn't find the answer though..87.102.11.80 14:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I looked for a rocker who is now 57 and got married in 2002. Dusty Hill turned 57 last May and married "his long-time girlfriend, Charleen "Chuck" McCrory, in 2002" according to this bio. The date was March 23, 2002, the place was Houston, it was a Saturday, and wedding pictures can be found on the page of Dusty's wedding. Looking for name of song and lyrics for song heard on triple j in Australia

I am looking for a song title and the lyrics to a song. I caught a snippet of this song on the front of a You Am I j-files that was pulled off the triple j site. The song had nothing to do with You Am I however (that I could tell). The lyrics that I know are (from the end):

Google "Todd Sparrow" on chatterbox records ... killer tune by the way. Haven't heard it for years but its still on their myspace player
