Wikimedia's implementation of the relative vh and vw units, messes up my edit screen dimension

[edit]

I need to figure out how to implement a user set editing window height. The current implementation on Wikisource hides the editing toolbar when scrolling beyond the upper half of the window. I tried reducing it with calc() but it has no effect except coloring the empty space with light blue. This question was asked at Wikisource, as well, including a web search for a solution.

The bottom right corner of the wikitext edit window has a hatched triangle that can be grabbed and dragged upwards until the window is only four lines high. But your question refers, apparently, to the MediaWiki Proofread Page extension, which, AFAIK, has not been enabled on Wikipedia. Perhaps the MediaWiki Support desk can help.  --Lambiam 11:11, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
