[edit]Looping video in VLC
[edit]I have a video file (MP4) that I would like to view in an endless loop in VLC. I can set VLC to "loop one" or "loop all" mode, but when I view the video on VLC, once the video has finished, VLC closes and reopens, reloading the same video. I would like it to just seamlessly loop the same video from the beginning without reopening or reloading anything. Is this possible? JIP | Talk 20:07, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, it’s possible but you need to install a run time processing interface. If you don’t have access to that, it’s just a simple matter of reconfiguring the video processing environment to loop within the framework parameters of your video. I hope this helps. - Cursory searching for the terms you used, "run time processing interface", "video processing environment" and "framework parameters" suggests they don't actually mean anything. My apologies if you were being sincere. Card Zero (talk) 06:45, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- You might try finding the advanced controls (enabled under "view" I think), and then using the button which allows looping of a section of the video. Use a really large section, like all of it. Don't know for sure that this will work, but I think it's worth a go. Card Zero (talk) 06:38, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- Does it need to be VLC? If not, you might find it simplest to download a different video player like one of those listed here. In my experience, the K-Lite Codec Pack with its fork of Media Player Classic plays (and loops) plenty of video formats with no problems. Shells-shells (talk) 07:29, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
