[edit]Is it possible to copy a WMV file, so that the copy contains only the video and not the audio?
[edit]I have: Windows Media Player, as well as P Real Player, but if anyone knows an option of copying WMV files without the audio, with another software, this would be good too. 147.236.152.145 (talk) 07:48, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- Do you mean RealPlayer instead of Peal Player? If so, both of these truly seem to be simply media players and lack any real file output capability even simple remuxing so the answer is almost definitely no. Is there some reason you want to use them rather than something far more suited for the task like ffmpeg or even probably VLC media player, or something else capable of remuxing the Advanced Systems Format container? - Yes, I mean Real Player. I only have Windows Media Player and Real Player on my cumputer, and I want to send a video without letting the recipients hear the audio, beacuse I want them to guess who is the speaker on the video (the speaker's voice is well known whereas the speaker's face is not).
- Is ffmpeg or VLC free? 147.236.152.145 (talk) 11:13, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- Sure. How to Remove the Audio Track from a Video with VLC. The page also links to this online tool to mute a video, which might be convenient. Card Zero (talk) 13:48, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
