[edit]How to turn on my laptop?
[edit]I’m looking for a button that says “ON/OFF”. However, I can’t find one. 193.210.175.209 (talk) 14:21, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- You'll have to provide a whole lot more information than that if you want help. Start with make and model as a minimum. Martin of Sheffield (talk) 14:29, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- Maybe it is labelled with ⏻ , the power symbol. Or in Persian, روشن/خاموش. After you have eliminated all buttons that do not turn on your laptop, the one you are left with, however improbable, must be your answer. --Lambiam 16:06, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- "the one you are left with, however improbable", yes Sherlock! Martin of Sheffield (talk) 16:13, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- I have never seen an ON/OFF button on a computer. In fact I've not seen an button marked ON/OFF on anything for many years. Shantavira|feed me 16:53, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- Found one! I offer you the BBC Micro. The switch is on the rear. Card Zero (talk) 19:41, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- My two-year-old Daikin air-conditioner remote control has a button labelled "On/Off". Mitch Ames (talk) 11:45, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- You can still actually buy toggle switches marked on/off: [1][2] Mitch Ames (talk) 11:58, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
