[edit]Sharing of files in Nokia Lumia
[edit]Is it possible that Nokia Lumia could automatically share files from the phone (e.g. pictures and notes) to the contacts? Or can applications like Skype or Whatsapp do that? I don't want this kind of function, I'm thinking about privacy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.76.122.80 (talk) 06:48, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not sure about Windows Phone 8, but in 7.8 there's a setting to automatically upload to SkyDrive. I'm not sure if it's turn on or off by default. AnonComputerGuy (talk) 14:54, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- Having those features enabled by default would be a breach in privacy, right? So I would doubt that they would be (though I'm no expert on phones...) But just to be safe, you should check your settings to see if there is any automatic sharing going on. --Yellow1996 (talk) 01:14, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
Seeding Ubuntu: A noble thing to do or a waste of disk space?
[edit]So I'm downloading multiple versions of Ubuntu just so that I can seed them. Is this worthwhile? PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 17:09, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- I don't know. Maybe. That's an opinion question though, one the ref desk isn't designed to answer (try as we might). Shadowjams (talk) 17:32, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- You’ll find out. ¦ Reisio (talk) 21:18, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- Well, I'm assuming you care about the propagation of linux distros; and if this is the case, then it would be "a noble thing to do" - I guess. :) --Yellow1996 (talk) 01:17, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- Being Ubuntu one of the most widespread Linux distribution, I doubt that anyone needs that. Ubuntu also seems to be backed by a powerful stable enterprise that probably has the technical resources to make Ubuntu available to a broad range of people. OsmanRF34 (talk) 23:58, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
