During any election, politicians and their supporters will shout long and loud about their achievements in office, and also about their "achievements". There is a critical encyclopaedic difference between the two. For example:
- Making a speech which nails the Government's corruption as Robin Cook did in 1997, is an achievement.
- Making a speech in favour of Motherhood, Apple Pie and Fluffy Bunnies is an "achievement" and actually achieves nothing other than as a promotional tool.
Wikipedia biographies are for those with achievements, not "achievements".
