Sunrise at Thong Nai Pan

I took this photo while on holiday on Ko Pha Ngan in May. Easily the most vibrant sunrise I've ever seen. Just wish I could have caught some of the lightning in the storm front moving in on the left. I've added it to the Ko Pha Ngan article.

Comments:

  • Very nice picture, I've been to that very beach infact! Sadly, sunsets/rises, flowers and pets have a miserable track record for FP status. Yours is a little more intersting because of the shadow cast by the clouds on the horizon, but this probably won't be enough. Again, nice shot and I hope you had fun on that trip, I know I did!--Niro5 18:58, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the comment Niro. That place is as close to paradise as I have ever been. Hope you had a good time there also! --Markf 234 13:30, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for taking the time to review the image. However, I do not see how any good can come from adding condescending comments. It seems pointless, unless of course your aim is to discourage junior members from contributing in the future. I can see from your profile you are a seasoned photographer and contributor. I am disappointed that someone of your stature would take such an attitude. Perhaps you would be so kind as to clarify if your comment was intended to suggest the photo could be improved by rotation?
