Wikipedia:Picture peer review/2011 flooding in Ayutthaya, Thailand

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Original - Satellite photographs showing flooding in Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani Provinces, Thailand, in October 2011 (right), compared to before the flooding in July (left)

I feel this pair of satellite images, when viewed in comparison, strikingly present the wide-spread effects of the 2011 Thailand floods in the area, as well as flooding in general. I'm not sure if the images should be combined, since that removes the possibility of direct comparison through tab-switching, or if the empty top-left corner should be removed. I've also seen sharper NASA satellite images, are these good enough for FP?

  • I'd support these. I geocoded the images for what it is worth. Seeing some of the pictures from the ground in particular seems quite surreal compared to what I saw about nine months ago. JJ Harrison (talk) 21:58, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
