Wikipedia:Peer review/Xbox 360/archive3

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fixed up article since last peer review. Would list a new one since all issues from previous have been fixed.123wiki123 07:01, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Here's some quick comments: Magazine and video game titles should be italicized. Images need fair use rationale. Go through and look for redundant text such as: Upon its release the Xbox 360 became the first console to, which can be rewritten as The Xbox 360 was the first console to.... Flags in the infoboxes of video games have been replaced with superscripts. I imagine the same should be done here. Pagrashtak 18:16, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Automated

[edit]

The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and might not be applicable for the article in question.

  • Please expand the lead to conform with guidelines at WP:LEAD. The article should have an appropriate number of paragraphs as is shown on WP:LEAD, and should adequately summarize the article.
  • Per WP:CONTEXT and WP:MOSDATE, months and days of the week generally should not be linked. Years, decades, and centuries can be linked if they provide context for the article.
  • Images with fair use tags need fair use rationales - please see WP:FUC. Specifically, Image:X360_Logo.png need(s) proper fair use rationales.
  • Per WP:MOSNUM, there should be a non-breaking space -   between a number and the unit of measurement. For example, instead of 18mm, use 18 mm, which when you are editing the page, should look like: 18 mm.
  • Per WP:MOSNUM, please spell out source units of measurements in text; for example, the Moon is 380,000 kilometres (240,000 mi) from Earth.

Generally, trivia sections are looked down upon; please either remove the trivia section or incorporate any important facts into the rest of the article.

  • Please alphabetize the interlanguage links.
  • Per WP:WIAFA, this article's table of contents (ToC) may be too long- consider shrinking it down by merging short sections or using a proper system of daughter pages as per WP:SS.
  • This article may need to undergo summary style, where a series of appropriate subpages are used. For example, if the article is United States, than an appropriate subpage would be History of the United States, such that a summary of the subpage exists on the mother article, while the subpage goes into more detail.
  • Please make the spelling of English words consistent with either American or British spelling, depending upon the subject of the article. Examples include: color (A) (British: colour), aluminium (B) (American: aluminum), meter (A) (British: metre), center (A) (British: centre), organize (A) (British: organise), program (A) (British: programme)
  • Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a.
