I've listed this article for peer review because, even though it is recently created (by myself), I think it meets the standards of a 'featured list'. But, naturally, as the creator, I would be bias so this peer review is to see if this page needs any more improvement before it can be nominated for as a FLC.

- Hey man im josh
I happened to stumble upon this and felt like giving it a shot. If this went to WP:FLC, this is some of the feedback I would give you:
- Background and lead could/should probably be combined. For instance, the inaugural winners / name of the award is mentioned twice.
- Phil Rizutto redirects to Phil Rizzuto
- Winners column should be sortable
- Images don't include alt text for
- All refs need access dates
- Refs 1, 10, 12, and 13 – Expand publisher from MLB.com to Major League Baseball
- Refs 3 and 7 – Dead links, add archive links and mark links as dead or replace links
- Refs 4, 8, and 9 – Add
url-access=subscription
- Ref 5 – Replace website with Baseball Writers' Association of America
- Refs 15 and 16 – Quote parameter is unnecessary
- Table needs a title
- Use
{{Abbr|Ref.|References}}
for the ref column - Can you add anymore pictures to the article?
- Consider using WP:IABot to add archive links
See PresN's standard comment here for some advice about accessibility. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:49, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Hey man im josh, thanks for the feedback! I'll get on it and get back to you. As for the images, what do you think of an "Image gallery" section a la Babe Ruth Award? Omnis Scientia (talk) 14:55, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, so I've done the following:
- Fixed the "Phil Rizzuto" redirect. (complete oversight on my part!)
- I replaced the one dead link (it wasn't dead when I added it, weirdly enough) and the other one had a mispelling in it which I've fixed.
- Replaced nybbwaa with the full name of the organization.
- Made the winners' column sortable and added
{{Abbr|Ref.|References}}
to the ref column. - For the MLB.com links, I've replaced the pipe link to Major League Baseball to the article link MLB.com from where the news came (I only recently discovered that article exists and have been replacing it where I can find it).
- Also added alt text to images.
- Added "url-access=subscription" where it applied.
- I don't know how to add access-dates, unfortunately. (I don't believe they are a requirement though; well, nobody has told me they before at least)
- I decided to keep the quotes because they come at the bottom of the articles and the headlines of those articles do not indicate the winners either.
- I have also, for the time being at least, decided to keep the lede and background seperate because when I tried combining the two, the whole page and table morphed.
- And the images: I've decided to add a "image gallery section", grouping yearly winners together where I can. I left this one for last since it may be more time consuming.
- Of course, I will also be applying the accessibility measures! Thank you for the link. Omnis Scientia (talk) 18:32, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
