- In the rankings section, the reference to UChicago being in the top 10 according to the Economist is incorrect as 1)The reference external link is incorrect. The correct Economist article which mentions the ranking is this one: http://www.economist.com/displaystory.cfm?story_id=4339960 2) The Economist does not produce its own rankings. The article in question mentions a ranking which is produced by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The Shanghai and British THES rankings are the only global rankings of universities (and are concerned with research reputation only). 3) The Economist article uses an outdated Shanghai ranking table, from 2004. There was an updated 2005 ranking available at the time of the Economist article publication. Chicago moved from 10th in 2004 to 9th position in 2005. - Also, better not to use Germanic instead of German - its like saying Gallic instead of French, and "Germanic" implies that the character of the German model of universities is somehow intrinsic to the Volksseele. Bwithh 18:43, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
