I've listed this article for peer review because I want it to become as good as it can be. —Ssven2 speak 2 me 10:53, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- The "role" field can be completed.
And List of awards and nominations received by Rajinikanth can be merged with this article to help expand it.Kailash29792 (talk) 16:13, 24 December 2014 (UTC)- @Kailash29792: Are the role names mentioned in the Naman Ramachandran book? —Ssven2 speak 2 me 03:58, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
- Nope; just gotta see each film and find out yourself; a pity that much of Indian film's plot details are not published in reliable sources or just ask those who have seen them. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:09, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
- @Kailash29792: Are the role names a must for filmography lists? —Ssven2 speak 2 me 04:20, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know, but it's best not to leave something incomplete. And there are only a few fields blank; get some help and fill 'em up! Kailash29792 (talk) 04:22, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
@Kailash29792: Managed to find out the role names of Rajinikanth in his films. Some of them were guest appearances. Only Iraivan Kodutha Varam remains. The problem is that there are no sources or videos about the film. In that case, shall I go as per IMDB (there it states Rajnikant (as Rajnikant)) — Ssven2 speak 2 me 11:14, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
- Please ask G. Dhananjayan through mail; he may get the answer from another historian, maybe even from Naman Ramachandran. Kailash29792 (talk) 08:33, 28 December 2014 (UTC)

- Merging "List of awards and nominations received by Rajinikanth" with this article is a bad idea. For an actor who has made over 170 appearances and won quite a number of awards, it won't make any sense. —Vensatry (ping) 17:18, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
- I agree now; but a pity that despite having won so many awards, a National Award has eluded him. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:21, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
- There are many actors who have not won National Awards. A film like Mullum Malarum would have fetched him the award had it been sent by the producers to the DFF. :( —Vensatry (ping) 19:09, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

- I see a lot of text copy-pasted from the parent article. Rephrase them if you intend to take this to FLC.
- I don't think he made a special appearance in Baalu Jenu. He was the main villain in the film.
- Link all entries as the table is sortable.
- He didn't write Sri Raghavendrar, but produced Valli.
- Why is Kodai Mazhai listed in the first table?
- Though Billa was his first commercial success, Murattu Kaalai propelled him to stardom. A mention of the film should be there in the lead.
- A lot of important films – Moondru Mudichu, Avargal, Chilakamma Cheppindi, Bairavi, Mullum Malarum – need special mention (in the lead).
- Films like Priya, Allauddinum Arputha Vilakkum can be mentioned for their technological advancements.
- His first film in various languages could be mentioned.
- His penchant to star in remakes of Amitabh's films could be mentioned. I'm sure you'll have a lot of sources for that.
- How come there is no mention of films like Padayappa, Baasha and Annamalai?
- The lead needs a total re-write if FLC is your ultimate goal. As I said earlier, it currently looks like an assorted piece of random text spun off from the parent article. —Vensatry (ping) 17:14, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
- As per WP:FILMOGRAPHY, it is advisable to avoid using rowspan.
- Any particular reason why Director(s) have been used as the column heading while there are no films with more than one director.
- Considering that there is already a sidebar at the top, I'm not sure if the See also section is warranted.
- And, as pointed out by Vensatry, it is advisable to write a sentence or two about his most iconic films, both in terms of critical and commercial success, in the lead section.
