Marayoor is one of the most exotic yet little known tourist places in Kerala, South India. I think the article is relevant. All the pictures in the article are taken by me. --Cyril Thomas 17:24, 31 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You say here it's a little known place, but the article says it's "one of the famous tourist spots in Kerala". Where is it famous? I found the intro somewhat lacking there, and by reading it (and not knowing anything about the area) it's not clear to me whether Marayoor is a town, a district or a landscape. The first picture in the article with the caption "Marayoor", only shows a small river, and is probably not the most descriptive image of the place. It's a nice article, but I'd put some of the info in the Fact File up in the intro as well. Population, district (Idukki) and bordering places. And, since it's a tourist spot, the tourist season should be mentioned as well as the main (animal?) attractions. Maybe you can find articles on other tourist-places and see what they look like to get ideas. Since it's a tourist place, I think the article should have a section about tourism. Who visits Maryamoor? How many? Are many inhabitants making a living out of tourism?
These are just my opinions after a short read. But overall I found the article and the place interesting. Nice pictures of a beautiful landscape, and I can see you've put a lot of work into it. Shanes 06:03, 1 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Marayoor is a famous place inside Kerala but outside, Munnar is known as the famous tourist place.
  • Marayoor is in the Idukki district of Kerala.

I wonder whether you could rewrite some sections to avoid copyright violations. Some of the long passages seem to be identical with the contents of Marayoor online. For example, the contents of the section 'Muthuvans' is identical with this page. The paragraph about Stone age civilization here appears as it is.

I don't want to sound discouraging. It is a great article otherwise. My uncle worked in Marayoor for some five years but I never knew it was such a lovely place ! Tintin 14:35, 1 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Reply Marayoor.com is my own website, and all the contents are mine, if you highlight the text in the homepage, see at the bottom page, and you will find my name. So there won't be any copyright issues. And, oh yes, all the pictures in www.marayoor.com is mine too. Thank you Tintin for the post.

Oh,ok. Didn't know that. Superb work. Tintin
Could you please upload the pictures also to Wikimedia Commons? Ausir 22:34, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I will...thank you for the suggestion. --Cyril Thomas 18:52, 5 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
