I've listed this article for peer review because I want to find areas of improvements. I know that the Episode summaries of the Original Animations needs work and I will improve on them once I have time to watch them. Thanks, DragonZero (talk · contribs) 21:22, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- The article looks very good. What I don't understand is why are the OVAs are listed here. The MOS and the Template:Japanese episode list make no mention of it. Well, this is kinda off-topic since that's something to discuss in the wikiproject.Tintor2 (talk) 16:19, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- The OVA's seem to fit here. I'm looking for with improvement is the DVD section. Since there was some kind update to the manual of style last I was told so that's why this list did not make C rank list. DragonZero (talk · contribs) 22:08, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
The article looks great. One thing though- were the episodes never released in English from the third season onwards? If so, that should be noted in the lead and there should not be a column for it. Since this is the English Wikipedia, there should be a column for the seasons that did air in English. Liquidluck (talk) 18:49, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- Well, the episodes were later released direct to DVD up to the point of season 5 so I kept the English episode columns to help keep the tables in shape. I also kept the English Airdate columns in case they would one day want to air those dubbed episodes. DragonZero (talk · contribs) 20:23, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Ruhrfisch comments: I have never seen this (or heard of it that I recall) so I am notsure if that makes me the ideal reviewer or the worst one. Anyway, here are some suggestions for improvement.
- Language is awkward here: ... the English dub was titled Case Closed due to unspecified legal considerations of the name Detective Conan.[1] perhaps something like ... the English dub was titled Case Closed due to unspecified legal concerns with the name Detective Conan.[1] would read better?
- Be consistent on tense - the first sentence is past tense (was based on, was titled) but the second sentence is present tense )are directed by). I owulkd pick a tense and stick with it.
- Be consistent on capitalization Sixty-seven pieces of theme music are used for the episodes: Twenty-seven opening themes and Thirty-three closing themes in the Japanese animation and three opening and four closing themes in the English adaption. why capitlaize 27 and 33?
- Would Several CDs that contain the theme music and other tracks have been released by Universal Music Group.[5] read better as The theme music and other tracks have been released by Universal Music Group on several CDs.[5]
- The Table of contents refers to "Seasons" (and 18 of them) while the lead says episodes most of the time, then there is this As of July 2009, 17 parts and 143 volumes in total have been released by Shogakukan.[6][7]
- Actually avoiding repeating "the episodes" over and over in the lead would help - could you use the series or the show or even Case Closed some instead?
- Fifth season needs to be sonsustent on lines or not for English airdates
- SInce there are summary articles for each of the seasons, could ther also be one for the specials etc. at the end? That way they could be just the titles and airdates like the other entries?
Hope this helps. If my comments are useful, please consider peer reviewing an article, especially one at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog (which is how I found this article).
