I just read this article and thought it was great, so I created this page so that maybe it can begin the process of turning into a featured article. I haven't had anything to do with writing it myself though. --spiralhighway 22:52, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Needs a longer intro - should summarize the whole article, not just define the term.
- Much more substantial sourcing
- Needs sections on the taxonomy of caterpillars, the metamorphosis process and life cycle, the caterpillar in culture and fiction.
- The taxonomy goes with the Lepidoptera as a whole. This is just the larval stage. Satyrium 23:58, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- The anatomy section could do with a diagram of the interior of a caterpillar.--Pyroclastic 04:39, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- The etymology of the word 'caterpillar' could be included near the beginning of the article.
- There are a number of pictures of unidentified caterpillars - for an encyclopedia article, it would help to identify them or to use other pictures of identified caterpillars --Jazriel 10:09, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
