What is #1Lib1Ref?
[edit]1Lib1Ref is a campaign inviting every librarian on Earth to improve the quality of Wikipedia articles by adding missing citations. Any citation to a reliable source is a benefit to Wikipedia readers worldwide. The goal is for every participant to add a single reference to Wikipedia during the campaign period, which runs from January 15 to February 5. Western is hosting three events during which you can learn about Wiki editing, become a Wiki Editor yourself and help us eliminate the backlog of "citation needed" notices.

What to expect
[edit]If you don't already have one, go to Wikipedia and create a free account.
There will be people available to help you get started or you can follow the self-guided instructions below.
The goal is to add at least 1 citation and tag the edit with #1Lib1Ref and #YorkU so we can track our impact.
Increase the impact you your edits by participating in the Wiki for Human Rights Campaign. If you edit an article concerning human rights, please add: #WikiForHumanRights
Participants

Add your name by clicking Edit Source at the top of this page, scrolling down to the Participants section and type your username or real name and click Publish Changes. If you weren't able to attend in person but still added a citation, make sure you add your name as well!
