Wikipedia:Meetup/WikiForHumanRights 2023 in Nigeria
WikiForHumanRights 2023 is aimed at writing about human rights, environmental health, and diverse communities impacted by environmental issues around the world.
About: This is a global writing contest aimed at creating and improving existing articles across various Wikimedia projects related to human rights and topics related to the triple planetary crises: Climate Change, Pollution and Biodiversity.
'WikiForHumanRights 2023 in Nigeria supports the WikiForHumanRights with a similar national campaign in Nigeria to improve and contribute to Wikipedia, stories of rights which enable safe and stable climate, healthy ecosystems and a non-toxic Environment in Nigeria.
Hence, stories of Nigerian environmental defenders, Nigerian legal systems/treaties about human rights and environmental rights, and Nigerian organizations championing environmental protection among others will be improved by participants.
Duration: The writing challenge will run from; 17th June until 23:59 PM WAT on 17th August 2023.

Campaign Rules
[edit]Edits must be made between 25th March 2023 to April 25th 2023. |
Articles improved or created must be related to the theme Right to a Healthy Environment. |
Participants must be a registered user on any Wikimedia project. Sign in or Create a new account on Wikipedia (You can create an account on any language Wikipedia, for use in your own WP and on all Wikimedia projects). |
Edits must be quality edits that is not contrary to Wikipedia's norms and policies such as poor sourcing, copyright violations, overlooking or plainlinks. |
Participants must include the hashtag #W4HRKWA23 for KWASU, W4HROWR23 for Owerri Hub, and #W4HRUIL23 for UNILORIN alongside a one sentence explanation of edit made in the Edit summary of all articles improved or created. For example: "Added Citation #W4HROWR |
