On February 22, 2019, a Wikipeda edit-a-thon was held at Washington State University Vancouver, in Vancouver, Washington, U.S.
Results
- Alexiwattez: expanded Val Ogden
- Another Believer: edits to Danielle Outlaw, Esther Short, Washington State University Vancouver; added fact to Veterans Memorial Coliseum (Portland, Oregon) and link to Esther Short Park. I presented a general overview of Wikipedia's history, community, and guidelines, focusing on the 5 pillars and efforts to address various content gaps. I also demonstrated how to improve Wikipedia by adding content as well as citations, via raw markup and the visual editor. The edit-a-thon was from 10am to 3pm. I counted 25 people in the room at one point, and people came and went, so I'd say roughly 30 people attended. There were great discussions, many edits made (not all are reflected below), and I'm hoping some participants left empowered to edit again in the future. ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:36, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
- I also took a few photographs of the campus, which I hope to upload and display here soon. ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:38, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
