- South Africa's pride season takes place earlier in the year during the summer, hence a focus on LGBT culture instead of pride events. Over 60 images of De Waterkant, a gay village in Cape Town, taken on 21 June 2014 were uploaded and a Commons gallery page was created to display them. A selection of 10 of these images was submitted to the associated Commons photo challenge.
- On June 30, 2014 the following images of past Pride events were uploaded using the Flickr-to-Commons tool: 33 images from Cape Town Pride 2014, 29 images from Joburg Pride 2013 and 20 images from Soweto Pride 2012.
- Images were added to the following articles: Cape Town Pride, Corrective rape, De Waterkant, Gay bar, Gay Flag of South Africa, Gayle language, LGBT rights in Nigeria, LGBT rights in South Africa, LGBT tourism in South Africa and Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Act, 2014.
