Seamless Astronomy Wikipedia Edit-a-thon @ the Center for Astrophysics / Cambridge, MA

On Feburary 18, the Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is hosting an astronomy-themed edit-a-thon. The primary goal of the event is to improve existing astronomy and astrophysics articles and to add images to the pages of Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. Cambridge, MA event details Date: Thursday, February 18, 6pm to 9pm EST Venue: Center for Astrophysics, John G. Wolbach Library Collaboration Space, 60 Garden St., Cambridge, MA 02138 Host: The event will be facilitated by Maia Weinstock of the New England Wikimedians and Phoebe Ayers of the MIT Libraries. Cost: Free. Twitter hashtag: #cfawiki Participants: The event is open to established members of the astronomy and astrophysics community. First-time Wikipedia editors are particularly encouraged to attend.
