In celebration of Women's History Month, RIT Libraries at the Rochester Institute of Technology will be hosting a Women on Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on Friday, March 27, 2020, from 2 pm to 7 pm. The goal of this event is to improve the representation of women on Wikipedia by editing or writing entries about notable women or topics related to women.
No experience is necessary. Training will be available and there will be plenty of volunteers to answer questions about editing - just look for the bright purple shirts.
Drop in for half an hour or longer; no need to stay all day. Food & beverages provided.
Everyone is welcome. We invite people of all gender identities and expressions to participate. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a adult.

- Drive to the Rochester Institute of Technology. For GPS/maps, the address is 1 Lomb Memorial Drive, Rochester NY 14623
- Enter campus at the main entrance (Lomb Memorial Drive) off of Jefferson Road / Route 252
- Follow Lomb Memorial Drive around the loop to the traffic circle
IF BEFORE 4:00PM
- Take the second right out of the traffic circle. Stop at the Welcome Center and get a free parking pass. Just mention that you are here for the Women on Wikipedia event and display the parking permit on your dashboard. Return to the traffic circle, then take the third right out of the traffic circle onto Andrews Memorial Drive
- Take the first left onto Bausch Boulevard
- Turn left and park in Lot E
- Head south on the paved walking path (Dorris Carlson Way) toward Gannett Hall and MAGIC Spell Studios
- Walk through the underpass between Gannett Hall/MAGIC Spell Studios and Booth Hall, then down the hill
- Continue south past Liberal Arts Hall (on your left), then turn left onto the Quarter Mile. Wallace Library is the first building on your right
IF AFTER 4:00PM
- Take the first right out of the traffic circle onto Andrews Memorial Drive
- Take the first left onto Bausch Boulevard
