  • Cost: Free
  • Registration: To register, please complete the form: The Event Registration Form and sign up by adding your Wikipedia username to the Participants sign-up below. The event is capped at 50 participants, so be sure to sign up!
  • PLEASE NOTE: If you have a dietary restriction, fill out the registration form ASAP as the food order needs to be placed before the event. Thank you!
  • Participants: The event is open to anyone who wishes to expand on articles within the life sciences. No Wikipedia editing experience necessary. Training will be provided and editors will be on hand to help with questions.
  • What to bring: Attendees should bring their own laptops, headphones and power cords. If you forget any of these items, you can check them out at the circulation desk in Mann. Lunch, snacks, drinks, coffee and dessert will be provided.

  • 1:00-1:15 Welcome, Lunch, Opening remarks
  • 1:15-1:30 Message from Helaine Blumenthal, Program Manager at Wiki Education Foundation
  • 1:30-2:30 Workshop on editing
  • 2:30-4:30 Collaborative work on articles Research discussion. Individuals work on articles/stubs. Final 15 minutes will be used to create presentation for lightning talks
  • 4:30-5:30 Lightning talks by each group, GODAN Video, Dessert & coffee, Group presentation on article and what they learned
