Join Montana State University Library, Diversity and Inclusion Student Commons (DISC), and the Women's Center for the Women in Montana edit-a-thon Tuesday, March 4th at Montana State University Library!

What: Wikipedia Edit-a-thon: Women in Montana

When: Tuesday, March 4th, from 10 am – 4 pm (Mountain)/ 12 pm - 6pm (Eastern)

Where: Montana State University Library Bozeman, MT and online!

Suggested Focus: Women in Montana.

What to bring: Your preferred editing device (personal computer, tablet) and necessary charging cables.

Harriet Cushman [1], [2], [3] Montana Extension officer and poultry expert. She has two collections in MSU ASC (in sources), an honorary doctorate from MSU, and was also a bio-chemist.
Extension Services Extension services are/were an important resource for women managing homes, gardens, and farms. Many Extension Agents are women. This topic appears to only be marginally covered on Wikipedia through a network of thin articles: Agricultural extension, Extension agency, Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (this is an example of a former extension service program and it is the link that some related sites reference for extension service). Here are some related articles which could use more information and/or updated topic links: 4-H (program run by extension services), Master Gardiner Program (program run by extension services), Land-grant University (these manage/maintain extension services), Smith-Lever Act of 1914 (law that established cooperative extension services).
