Hackathon -- The National Archives and Records Administration and Prof. Andrew Lih, welcome participants to a scan-a-thon focused on scanning and metadata around Compiled Military Service Records of US soldiers from the War of 1812. This is a collaboration between American University class COMM420/620 and NARA. This will take place in the NARA Innovation Hub, and is the debut of the Wikipedia Space in NARA's Innovation Hub in a classroom setting. See the Knight Foundation grant description page

Who
The program is limited to the participants, and will be conducted in conjunction with a communications/journalism course taught by Andrew Lih at the American University on Wikipedia & Public Knowledge. Because of the limited resources and staff for the day, contact Andrew Lih if you'd like to attend.
