Saturday, August 5th, AfroCROWD is partnering with DEFCON 201 and the Newark Museum for a Wikipedia editathon on unsung Black artists, makers and innovators.
This is part of the DEFCON 201 r00tz digital securities conference taking place in New York and New Jersey along the PATH Train stops between New York City and Northeastern New Jersey. At this Wikipedia editathon, you can learn to edit articles and other entries on Wikipedia, get to the next level on your Wikipedia editing if you already edit, or learn other Wikipedia hacks to improve your article or entry staying power.
- Entry to the Newark Museum is free for Newark residents, but general entry to the museum is required for all others. While there will be limited computers available, please feel free to bring your own laptop.
Wikimedia NYC Coaches will be on hand to help. Light refreshments will be offered. All languages a levels of Wikipedia experience are welcome to this public event.
