- Flickr has it listed as being released for noncommercial works only which is incompatible with the terms of CC A3.
- The flickr uploader doesn't own the rights to the work anyway, since it was paid for and developed by American Apparel which, according to the information at Second Life, means they retain ownership over the rights. - Not used, and despite the uploaders asertion that it's PD since it's from the New Jersey State Legislature website the website it self carry a "©2002 New Jersey Office of Legislative Services" notice. - The strange thing is that we have hundreds of thousands of copywrighted fair use images on wikipedia. Film posters, screenshots, anything obtained from sites or sources which you would claim "clear vio. so and so had to pay for it". The film company had to pay to produce the film and screenshot so therefore wikipedia is obliged to pay them to use an image of a poster they spent money creating or actors they employed in a film. It is getting ridiculous. If you are going to keep arguing against the licensing claim of "to identify the subject in question when it is irreplaceble" you are basically saying that all of these images should be removed. Somebody somewhere had to pay for every image. Wikipedia isn't profiting from these images in the way that Britannica profits from its members. All non free media is copywrighted but doesn't the old fairuse policy of irreplaceable content to illustrate the article subject and that it is not affecting the copywright holder to the image apply anymore?
