- Hello, Viviancanute. What is your question about editing Wikipedia? Are you asking for somebody to write an article about somebody? If so, you need to find reliable published sources that discuss this person, and make a request at Requested articles (the more reliable sources you provide about him, the more likely it is that somebody will decide to create the article, though there is no guarantee somebody will). If that is not what you are asking, please clarify. --ColinFine (talk) 19:09, 25 December 2015 (UTC)

- Had a look and changed a few bits. It's not terrible... I've seen worse from English speakers! Eagleash (talk) 22:28, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
- OK. Thank you. --Obsuser (talk) 23:00, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
Revert vs. over-editing
[edit]Whenever possible I am careful to revert others' edits instead of simply over-editing. I believe the editor who inserted the edit I am reverting:
- has the right to know their edit has been reverted
- has the right to have a reason for the revert
- has the right to object to it
- has a right to learn from it (I certainly do)
So with this long-winded introduction I also have a question about a particular reversion I just carried out - why does this show as an over-edit and not as a revert? Thanks in advance, Ottawahitech (talk) 23:03, 25 December 2015 (UTC)please ping me
- Ottawahitech I am not sure what over-editing is but to me it looks like you reverted User:RevelationDirect changes. MilborneOne (talk) 23:08, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
- The reason I thought this looked like a regular edit is that the words "Undid revision xxx" were missing. Ottawahitech (talk) 02:39, 26 December 2015 (UTC)please ping me
- @MilborneOne: I'm following up on this conversation here so it's in one place: User talk:Ottawahitech#Untagging Categories in Open Category for Discussion Nominations. Thanks, in advance for your input. RevelationDirect (talk) 03:28, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
