This article certainly needs reassessment. Its Good Article assessment has not been revisited since it was first assessed as such in 2007. The article noticeably falls below today's standards for a "Good Article" assessment, thus necessitating reassessment. Among other issues, the article appears rather euro-centric, scattered, and contains a section which has been marked as lacking citation since August 2014. Recognizing this, I am opening a community reassessment of the article. SecretName101 (talk) 16:36, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Delist: does not meet GA criteria. We have lots of {{cn}} tags, some contentious statements needing quotation to verify, and some bits that look like OR. The Sikhism section, which has the unreferenced tag, also looks like undue weight to a pretty small culture out of 7 billion people. The Japan and Transferred Meaning sections are also unreferenced. Some cultures are totally absent, such as Eastern Europe and Central Asia. "Native Americans" section seems to only cover tribes from the US, with no attention to differences between groups or the culture of indigenous peoples of South America. Overall, it's quite difficult to cover most cultures in world history in one article, but this doesn't do it. buidhe (formerly Catrìona) 21:15, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
