IHLIA LGBT Heritage (formerly in Dutch Internationaal Homo/Lesbisch Informatiecentrum en Archief) was very active in this Wikipedia project, stimulated by the then Head Collections Lonneke van den Hoonaard.
Introductory Wikipedia course, Tuesday April 8, 2014, with nine enthousiastic participants for a full afternoon. At the end they enhanced IHLIA-related Wikipedia articles. Assistance by Wikipedians in special residence Arie Sonneveld and Hans Muller.
Wikipedia writing session (Edit-a-thon), Wednesday April 16, 2014: follow-up session with eight participants, guided by Arie Sonneveld and Hans Muller. Results: seven new or expanded Wikipedia articles.

Taking stock of IHLIA's image collection. The number of digitised images was restricted and copyright issues with the predominantly recent material complicated uploads to Wikimedia Commons.
Overview of IHLIA-related subjects on Wikipedia. A number of missing LGBT encyclopedic articles can still be written.
In the aftermath of this project many well-attended Wikipedia writing sessions (Edit-a-thons) were held at IHLIA with the Dutch Wikimedia chapter WMNL, still continuing as of 2023.
