Imperial College, the Institution of Engineering and Technology and Wellcome Trust are joining forces to host a Women in STEM Wikithon. Join us to celebrate the women that deserve a more prominent place in the online historical record. You'll learn how to edit Wikipedia in order to harness the power of the web to share your knowledge.

For nice easy edits, check that all people are in the right categories, translate information between Wiki's, check out Wikidata, and check that people's articles are included on lists like these and mentioned on relevant pages.

To find some fascinating women engineers, take a look at The Woman Engineer journal. You can find advice on how to search for relevant sources on any scientist here.

Here are some ways to keep track of your edits:

• You can view all your contributions to Wikipedia by clicking "Contributions" (in the top right of this page).
• The Pageviews tool is a great way of measuring how many people are looking at the page you created/edited. You can even export the data if you'd like it for reports, etc.
