The following is the scheme of work: Scheme of Work, Part 1:[edit]There are two parts to the scheme of work. On the right you will see Part one. It contains 8 elements:
1. A general look at Wikipedia[edit]
2. The Five Pillars of Wikipedia[edit]
3. Objectives[edit]The main wiki-skills are found here. (Use the 'Back' arrow when necessary)
4. Create an account[edit]5. Creating an Article on Wikipedia Based on a Community near the coast[edit]The PDF thumbnails on the right links you to the scheme of work. 6. Using Wikipedia in a website / The feed API[edit]Many groups, societies and others can take a 'feed' from Wikipedia directly into their own websites. Here's an example by the BBC; take a look at the bottom of the page ('About').
7. Wikivoyage[edit]Wikivoyage became a Wikimedia Project around a year ago. It is a “free worldwide travel guide that anyone can edit”. It’s not an encyclopaedia; in fact it’s a travel guide where you can add names of businesses, addresses, phone numbers etc.
8. eGuides[edit]These can be created using the content on Wikipedia as free hand-outs or even sold to customers, as Wikipedia is licensed on CC-BY-SA which allows commercial use. Select the button on the right hand side of the article: 'Create a book'. Newly trained editors[edit]The following is a map of Wales, showing the location of each newly trained group....
