Wikipedia:GLAM/US/AAM
The GLAM-Wiki community will be represented at the American Association of Museums annual meeting and expo from April 29 to May 2, 2012. We ask anyone who is interested to join us for two AAM #glamwiki Twitter chats that will correspond with our sessions. This space will be used for basic information and sign-up of those participants in the Twitter chat.
When?
[edit]- Tuesday, May 1st: 18:30-19:45 UTC / 1:30-2:45pm CST
- → Virtual Session, anticipating high level of participation on #glamwiki
- Wednesday, May 2nd: 14:00-15:15 UTC / 9:00-10:15am CST
- → On-site Session, will encourage posting questions to #glamwiki
What?
[edit]Hundreds of museum professionals will be attending both an online session and a separate on-site session called "Wikipedia and the Museum: Lessons from Wikipedians in Residence." We will be encouraging the museum professionals to use the #glamwiki hashtag to share their thoughts and to ask questions throughout our presentation.
We will have a 20 minute formal Q&A session at the end of our presentation, but would like to supplement that with Wikipedians answering questions on the #glamwiki hashtag on Twitter. We appreciate anyone who is willing to join us for these specific times and help share our work with the museum community!
