#1Lib1Ref @ SLIC in a nutshell:

About the event
[edit]The annual #1Lib1Ref campaign takes place this year 15 January - 3 February, with the aim of engaging more library professionals with Wikimedia - asking us to Imagine a World where Every Librarian Added One More Reference to Wikipedia. Librarians worldwide have been taking part in this campaign... and on Friday, it's our turn!
We'll be adding citations and making small improvements to Wikipedia pages about Scottish libraries, writers and novels.
How do I prepare?
[edit]- Create a Wikipedia account - please don't everyone do this at once from a work computer! If too many people create an account from the same IP address within 24 hours, our IP address will be flagged for vandalism and the IP blocked. Which will make things... really difficult for me, for a start. So please create an account from your phone (3G or 4G NOT WiFi!), or from home. Your username can be anything you like - but please don't include "SLIC" in it - you're editing as an individual, not an organisation. Any questions, shout me!
- You can read a little more about editing and adding references over on the main 1Lib1Ref page.
Trainers
[edit]Sara Thomas, and our student placement Jenny will be around too :)
