Hay Kranen (User:Husky) (Nijmegen, The Netherlands, 1983) is the first Dutch Wikipedian-in-residence. From 7th October onwards he is the Wikipedia ambassador in the Koninklijke Bibliotheek and the Nationaal Archief in The Hague. Hay has been active on Wikipedia since 2005. From 2007 until 2011 he was a member of the board of Wikimedia Nederland (page in Dutch), the (Dutch branch of the) foundation supporting volunteers who work on the encyclopedia and related Wiki projects. He has wide experience in the field of collaboration of Wikimedia with the cultural sector. In 2009 he organised Wiki Loves Art/NL (page in Dutch), the first big international 'photo hunt' during which volunteers could take photos in the 46 Dutch musea that participated. Hay organized more than 25 workshops, hackathons and lectures about Wikipedia in the cultural sector. Hay graduated as digital media designer from the Utrecht School of the Arts. Until recently he worked as a web developer for the Dutch broadcasting organisation VPRO. See also[edit]
