Dr Mike Dickison (User:Giantflightlessbirds, contact: mikerove.wiki) worked as a Wikipedian in Residence from June 2023 with the Healthier Lives National Science Challenge office in the University of Otago's Department of Medicine to upload images to Commons, improve Wikidata on researchers and publications, cite published research to improve relevant Wikipedia articles, and create new articles as needed.

Brief list article in Wikipedia of all the National Science Challenges. Done by a volunteer, 28/5/23Checking the MBIE Healthier Lives site is backed up in the Internet Archive, and is scraped again when complete. (The site has been archived 132 times between 2016 and 2023, and will continue to be scraped at least monthly.)

[edit](Note: Wikidata generally uses the full name as given in author lists on publications; Wikipedia will use the most-commonly-referred-by name—for example, the one in a university staff listing. The Scholia link shows the number of publications currently in Wikidata and properly linked to that person's Wikidata ID.)

These are health workers or early-career researchers featured on the Healthier Lives blog. It's very important for all researchers to have a public ORCiD profile if Wikipedians are to help link and cite their research and add them to Wikidata; any blog profiles like this should also link to the subject's public ORCiD.
