- I think it could be converted to .png format though. Do you want it on Heatingoil.co.uk? Also that license page says nothing about the logo being public domain. It could be possible to use it under fair use however. If you are indeed the personal copyright holder on the image, you could load it yourself at commons (after converting to .png form), and send the permissions-commons email to verify copyright release under PD. Wikipedia needs you to be more free in your grant of license. Are you willing to use a creative commons license like CC-BY-SA-3.0? Wikipedia is supposed to be free, as in every one can copy it, and change it. In the case of a picture to illustrate your article, we would want it to be as authentic as possible. If you are willing to release under a free license you should be able to upload yourself at commons:upload and save the effort of proving who you are! You did not provide a link to license information and copyright holder's name—these two things are necessary to determine the copyright status of the image; we can't just upload it as Public domain without evidence.

Feel free to resubmit a request with proper license information. Copyright issues aside, in case of this specific image, I urge you to clarify the purpose of the upload: that is, if uploaded, on what article will it be used? Comment: This is a slightly more complex issue, is the picture a screen dump of a Microsoft software item? THe iamge is almost so simple that it could be counted as free of copyright, as insufficient creative content. However if you want to release it under public domain and prove that you made it you will need to have some licence info on the same page as the picture. Well, you really did need to ask on German Wikipedia, because uploading it to the English Wikipedia wouldn't help you. However, I have done my best - I uploaded a new version on German Wikipedia, and added it to the article; see here. I didn't use the file link you gave, because I found a higher-res version in their press info, in an EPS file - which I then converted to a JPG using imaging software. Hopefully this will work. If not, I'm afraid you really will have to ask on the German Wikipedia (try their 'help' or something).

The image is very big, but yet has some fine print on it. For fair use we try to use as small an image as possible. How small can we make it? For example do you require the credits on the bottom to be legible? I think you are right in not attempting to explain the copyright ownership, as it could have material from many sources. Can you please add a license text such as "Public Domain" or CC-Zero to the imageshack page from the same ID that uploaded the picture? That is so that we know that it is you that owns the picture.
