NeutralThe recording passes my tests for "noisiness", but I am concerned about the low bit rate. Lossy compression like vorbis are designed to be used for non-noise audio. I would think that the highest bit rate possible should be used for noise. Zginder 2011-04-23T22:21Z (UTC)- Does it look better now? --In actu (Guerillero) | My Talk 22:44, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- What is the difference between white noise and static?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 00:46, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Static is whit noise laied on top of some other sound such as a radio station --In actu (Guerillero) | My Talk 03:03, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose—Unless someone can tell me why this file is clever in some way; that is, was it hard to produce? A file of white noise certainly has EV, but why does this exemplify "our very best work"? Tony (talk) 06:12, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Support After a lot of reflection, I think that this is an important sound file for WP. There is an elaborate article on this subject, for which this has high EV.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 08:40, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
- Support The feature criteria do not require this to be our best work, just as good as it can be. Zginder 2011-04-24T17:54Z (UTC)
