Self-nomination. The portal has 10 selected articles, 10 selected biographies, 10 selected pictures, 15 selected hooks from articles that have appeared at Did you know?, and 20 quotations from individuals with preexisting articles on Wikipedia. Each of the entries in the selected article, biography, picture, Did you know? and quote sections are randomly chosen and the portal can be purged to show new selections. The article was modeled primarily after elements from featured portals Portal:Sustainable development and Portal:Psychology. I have to acknowledge Warlordjohncarter (talk · contribs) for creating the portal initially, and RichardF (talk · contribs) for his expertise and advice about portals.
The portal has had a Portal peer review, and many suggestions from RichardF (talk · contribs) and Sd31415 (talk · contribs) were incorporated into changes to the portal to improve its quality further. Cirt (talk) 01:02, 5 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]
- Support as one of the reviewers. I added a featured content box, which hopefully doesn't disturb your spacing and formatting. Happy editing, [sd] 01:50, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- No, by all means, thanks for adding the featured content box. And the spacing and formatting of it looks great. Cirt (talk) 01:57, 5 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]
- Support My name is plastered around this nomination too many times for me to oppose it! >;-o) RichardF (talk) 04:24, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for all your help. Cirt (talk) 06:00, 5 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]
- Support Looks like a well constructed portal. One small thing - the box headers could use more contrast. Arman (Talk) 07:40, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I changed the box headers from white to black. Cirt (talk) 11:05, 5 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]
- Support Thoroughly excellent work. Slick design coupled with good content. -- Chris.B | talk 16:43, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks! Much appreciated. Cirt (talk) 16:46, 5 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]
- Support - not sure about the lilac and black though. But, that's no reason to oppose. — Rudget contributions 18:03, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks. That's what Warlordjohncarter (talk · contribs) started it with, and somehow I think it works. But of course we could always discuss other options at the portal's talk page. Cirt (talk) 18:04, 5 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]
- Doing... - In own sandbox. — Rudget contributions 18:26, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- It's not rendered properly but what about this colouring? — Rudget contributions 18:31, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Where? What coloring? Cirt (talk) 18:46, 5 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]
- Click the link! :) — Rudget contributions 18:52, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Ah, I see it. I took a look at it implemented into the actual portal, and I admit it is interesting, but the Selected quotes section looks bad with the alternate coloring. Cirt (talk) 19:02, 5 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]

- Ah I suppose. Forget about it. After another quick look-over, it actually looks fine as it is. Best, — Rudget contributions 19:16, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Support. Really well done. OhanaUnitedTalk page 22:02, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Support - the portal has improved significantly over the one I created, and I think it meets FP status. Good work on the improvement. John Carter (talk) 19:06, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
