Reason

A ruined building, a child's face, and a flag: the World War II bombings of London in one image. This one is right on the edge in terms of size and resolution, but the composition made it worth a try. Restored version of File:London V2 Frissell.jpg.

• Strong Oppose I don't see any EV for this in any of the articles, meaning that this picture fails criterion 5. I'd say "speedy close" but a couple supports already probably means that's not going to happen.Makeemlighter (talk) 06:48, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
  • To elaborate: I see this as more of an artsy picture, the kind you'd see in a documentary or something. It doesn't do anything for me in V-2 since the destructive powers of the missile cannot really be seen by this shot. Similarly, in The Blitz it shows so little that I get no sense of the extent of the damage caused by the bombing. Finally, I'm not sure I even understand its placement in Vergeltungswaffe. If the intent is again to show the destruction caused by the bombing, my above objections apply here as well. This is a good photograph, but there just isn't the EV to make it an FP.
