- Comment This was on peer review a long time ago. Wikipedia:Picture peer review/Image:Old timer structural worker.jpg. The question to balance is whether its uniqueness (it really can't be retaken) overcomes the technical shortcomings. Thanks for thinking of this, DurovaCharge! 18:01, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Comment. Needs a better description on the image page... it doesn't even link to the original.--ragesoss (talk) 19:28, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it was one of my earliest restorations. DurovaCharge! 00:19, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose. Interesting image but I think the lack of detail on the man's face is a bit of a deal-breaker. Diliff | (Talk) (Contribs) 08:09, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ouch, I knew that would be only a subtraction. Oh well, I suppose that we can perhaps fix it? —Ceran(Sing) 10:59, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- I suspect not. There just isn't detail there. You can't create detail where it doesn't exist. Also, it doesn't appear to be in any articles anymore. I haven't visited them to see why though. Diliff | (Talk) (Contribs) 15:04, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- It didn't replace the unrestored version. Thegreenj 21:31, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

- Weak Support Nevermind the lack of detail specifically on the subject's face. The picture is still quite informative in terms of showing some fundamental innerworkings of how constructing the framework for skyscrapers was done. The background is particularly breathtaking. My only issue is the graininess near the top of the image, but this facet of the image really is irreparable. Nevertheless, it is still one of the best images that I have seen on here.-- mcshadypl TC 07:09, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Support This is an image that is stunning and breathtaking. It is an image that immeaditlly captures your eye, and it is an image that gets even better when you zoom in. LCpl Stephen Bolin, USMC (talk) 22:24, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Support. I agree with the comments made by the other supporters. - Mgm|(talk) 11:23, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Support. The high historical value and good composition of the picture, I believe, surpass than the mentioned weakness.--Caspian blue 23:06, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
