- The Battle of Chapultepec was an important battle of the Mexican-American War that occurred at a landmark in Mexico City. This hand tinted lithograph of the aftermath (note the U.S. flag on the flagpole) was published by Nathaniel Currier of Currier and Ives as a sole proprietor before the famous partnership began.
