- It's not a perfect composition, but, for the time (1870), I think it did a very good job. The Kendals were two of Gilbert's favourite actors, so they appeared in a lot of early Gilbert works,
as such, they can't all appear in the Kendals' articles.actually, this is way better quality than the one that was in them. But this adds a lot to the article by showing them, reenacting a scene from the opera, in costume. - Articles in which this image appears
