Reason: Reconstruction after the American Civil War was met with pushback, and one of those were a variety of attempts to genocide the African-American population of various towns in response to one of them getting 'too much' power. Dancy was one of the people who were attacked in the Wilmington insurrection of 1898, but managed to survive, and, with the help of his friend, Booker T. Washington, was able to rebuild in Washington, D.C.

Hopefully I'm not putting these up too quickly. I've been trying to not put up a new one when more than one isn't passing, but I... think the two below this will pass.
