- Support as nominator --Alvesgaspar (talk) 11:38, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Question: Why not pair it with (or nominate separately) File:Sacred lotus Nelumbo nucifera.jpg? I'm not convinced of the EV for the bud, especially with a staged backdrop. Crisco 1492 (talk) 12:09, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- OK, I nominated the two pictures as a set. But I'm not sure the procedure and format are correct -- Alvesgaspar (talk) 13:00, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Support: Both have high enough quality, and seeing the different stages of the plant gives it high EV. Crisco 1492 (talk) 13:35, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Could be nominate separately IMO. -- George Chernilevsky talk 20:09, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Support flower -- George Chernilevsky talk 20:09, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose bud. Not a FP quality. Oversaturated green, centered composition -- George Chernilevsky talk 20:09, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose Both Not FP standard, quality is low, second image has incredibly distracting backgroung, could be shot better and with better lighting. JFitch (talk) 08:36, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose both. The flower just isn't quite up to scratch generally, and, while the bud picture is a rather lovely one, it's EV is lacking. I'd imagine there is much to be said about the symbolism of the bud- as someone who cares about both flowers and Indian religion, I'm sad to see that the article's not in better shape.
