- Support. The discussion of hybridogenesis (and the related article klepton) were new to me and unexpectedly interesting. (As an aside, of the many common names for this frog, I much prefer "Edible frog", both because it's a direct translation of the original Linnaean binomial Rana esculenta, and because it avoids confusion with the very common Green frog of eastern North America, which is an entirely different critter.)
