- Reason
- This isn't the best angle to show the wing plumage - File:Diomedea exulans in flight 2 - SE Tasmania.jpg is better for that. However, I think this picture really communicates the wingspan of this species and albatrosses in general.

- FWIW this image of a Wandering Albatross is already featured. I guess we could say this one complements it (they're quite different poses/angles). --jjron (talk) 11:50, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- Support -- Almost need to use the wide template for that wingspan:) Saffron Blaze (talk) 13:52, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- Support. Yet another excellent shot. Clegs (talk) 10:23, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
- Weak support EV is so-so when we already have Diomedea_exulans_-_SE_Tasmania.jpg as a featured picture, but this is a good shot. Pine(talk) 22:34, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

- Oppose It's another Australia picture. Too many Australia pictures on the front page. Dr. Morbius (talk) 18:27, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
- That's not one of the criteria. Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:48, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
- At any rate, this species has a circumpolar distribution, it isn't really an Australian subject specifically. JJ Harrison (talk) 02:03, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
