- Reason
- Damage from the 2007 Greensburg tornado. Usually tornado damage wouldn't stand out or be of high EV, but this is the first example of EF5 damage in recorded history (the Fujita Scale was used until early 2007). Good composition aswell. The tornado killed eleven, injured nearly seventy others, and left a path of total destruction in its wake. Although the caption doesn't state where the EF5 damage is, seven buildings in the downtown area sustained EF5 damage, and this is basically a photo of the entire downtown.

- Support – Very high EV and meets all criteria, used in several articles, including a featured list. The photo also appeared on the main page itself September 18, 2023. If that somehow wasn't enough, media outlets like have used the photo several years after the tornado occurred. A few examples: [1][2][3].
