OriginalEF5 damage to homes in Greensburg, Kansas in the aftermath of the 2007 Greensburg tornado. 95% of the town was damaged to some degree. The tornado was the first to be rated 5 on the EF scale, and the deadliest in the history of Kiowa and Comanche counties.
Reason
Damage from the 2007 Greensburg tornado. Usually tornado damage wouldn't stand out or be of high EV, but this is the first example of EF5 damage in recorded history (the Fujita Scale was used until early 2007). Good composition aswell. The tornado killed eleven, injured nearly seventy others, and left a path of total destruction in its wake. Although the caption doesn't state where the EF5 damage is, seven buildings in the downtown area sustained EF5 damage, and this is basically a photo of the entire downtown.
