- Support as nominator --Rishabh Tatiraju (talk) 15:40, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- Support A nice find. Unusual view. I prefer the alt, though both are good. Adam Cuerden (talk) 18:07, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
- Comment I found a better image that was taken one day later, which shows denser fog. Uploaded it. Notifying you all about the changes. Rishabh Tatiraju (talk) 11:52, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Put it in as an Alt. =) Adam Cuerden (talk) 20:59, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- It was uploaded over the old photo, I see, so now it's the original. Aaadddaaammm (talk) 13:15, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- Honestly, I think I mildly prefer the pre-upload-over one, since having that slight bit less fog results in a better composition for the image, instead of just a white streak. However, both would make good FPs. We can do a "which one" at the end of the nomination. Adam Cuerden (talk) 13:34, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- Alright, uploaded it separately and have added it as an alt. Rishabh Tatiraju (talk) 16:57, 30 December 2012 (UTC)

- Support, interesting, I've never seen a fog from satellite. Brandmeistertalk 13:12, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

Oppose It's hard to figure out what's what, and at what scale, in that picture. Fog is defined as low-level cloud; it's not clear from the picture what level the cloud is at. It's a routine satellite photo, with nothing particularly interesting about it. Rwxrwxrwx (talk) 23:32, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- Consider comparing this image with the "Tule Fog" image found here. You can see the similarity in both images. Rishabh Tatiraju (talk) 16:41, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
- OK, I can see the significance now, and I agree it's an excellent picture. I'll switch to Support, but from my euro-centric eyes, it's hard to appreciate the scale and location, so maybe the caption could be changed to something like "Dense fog over the Gangetic plains of the Indian Subcontinent, with the Himalayan chain to the north and the Bay of Bengal at bottom right, on ..."?. - I am happy with the change in caption, infact it sounds better! Changing it right now. Rishabh Tatiraju (talk) 13:43, 31 December 2012 (UTC)

- Comment The phenomenon can be verified thru this article here. Its reported that Runway visibility dropped suddenly from 700 metres to less than 50 metres on all three runways of Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. Dated 23 December 2012. - Comment: Source doesn't state explicitly that this is fog. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:09, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
- Evident Source - This image is the data by the India Meteorological Department, which shows Fog for 23 December 2012. This image provides an evidence that the image is of Fog cloud. Rishabh Tatiraju (talk) 16:12, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
